Goal

The secondary school presentation aims to develop an understanding of how personal information online can be exploited and how they students may be leaving themselves vulnerable. Kiwi Seminars goal is to have students understand that the Internet is a shared space, once we post something online we cannot take it back, not everyone online is as it seems, and that we all must use the Internet responsibly.

Our secondary school presentation can be tailored based on audience or special requests but typically covers the following topics:

Approach

In the secondary school presentation the focus is on the social issues of the Internet involving posting or sending sensitive information online and cyberbullying. The high school presentation is case study driven with a variety of interactive exercises. It discusses online risks and the consequences through recent events in the media in order to proactively develop the ability to make the most informed decisions possible when on the Internet.
