About Us
Who we are
Kiwi Seminars is a non-profit organization which brings Internet safety education directly to schools and communities within the Greater Toronto Area through free seminars.
Our Mission
To promote and teach responsible use of the Internet through proactive interactive education.
Our Vision
To empower people, organizations and companies to become actively involved in the education of internet safety.
Our Approach
Kiwi Seminars believes in proactive education, as opposed to reactive control. We believe that it is better to arm youth with the skills and knowledge of safe online practices than to rely on a system of strict rules and consequences.
We also believe that communication between generations is a result of mutual knowledge. Luckily, safe and responsible Internet use does not require great technical skills, but is dependent on communicating basic internet knowledge and practicing the principles of web safety.
Kiwi Seminars provides free Internet safety presentations to:
- Elementary Students - For Grades 6 to 8
- Secondary School Students - For Grades 9 to 12
- Community groups - For adults (concerned parents, educators, youth workers)
